Perseverance’s new Supercam has links between the electronic system and telescope designed by Axon’. This cable assembly, which transmits information to the rover, is terminated at each end by a specific pair of miniature Micro-D connectors. Additionally, Axon has also carried out the cabling of the microphone installed about the Perseverance’s SuperCam. All the cabling of the SuperCam and the microphone has been made in clean room under controlled atmosphere in the Axon’ site located in Montmirail in France. Designed in collaboration with NASA and IRAP Toulouse, with the help of CNRS and CNES, SuperCam is a concentrate of technologies that will remotely analyse Martian rocks.

900! This is the number of satellites that the American company OneWeb has planned to manufacture to provide Internet access for everyone, everywhere – even in the hard to reach area. The first 6 satellites of this mega-constellation have just been launched.  Axon’ Cable has been selected to cable all 900 satellites by the Joint Venture in charge of the manufacturing of the spacecraft, Airbus-OneWeb Satellites that loves rising to the challenges.

About one year after the first pickaxe, the Indian subsidiary of Axon’ Cable, leader in cable and interconnect systems, has now moved to a brand new, purpose-built factory located in the Hitech Defense and Aerospace Park close to Bangalore airport.

We now offer extended range of thermocouples for sensors and matching extension or compensation cables. Following standards such as IEC 584-3, DIN 43710 and others or custom designed versions for special applications. Available with many conductor possibilities such as K, T, BX, SX (SCA/SCB) and with high temperature insulating materials such as PTFE, FEP or extreme temperature version Axon Vibraflame® for up to +1050°C.

Lightweight coaxial Cables manufactured by Axon’ are  with its aluminium conductor, 30 % lighter than the former standards. Designed for cabling of aircraft and helicopters, they exhibit excellent mechanical and electrical performances up to 18 GHz for cable assemblies. Moreover, the dielectric of Celloflon®, expanded PTFE patented by Axon’, provides not only low attenuation but also very good crush resistance (100 daN/100 mm).
